During 2021, general training of compulsory conscripts (recruits) was carried out on the basis of the training department of Border Guard Troops of the NSS of the RA. The trainings were held jointly with the professional groups of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, the peacekeeping brigade of the RA Defense Ministry and other subdivisions, using appropriate materials, demonstration trainings and practical exercises.

125 conscripts have undergone special professional trainings at the training units formed on the basis of the department: 50 servicemen of the rapid response unit, 25 servicemen of the border control subdivisions, 20 servicemen of military liaison officers, 15 servicemen of sanitary instructors, and 15 servicemen of specialists of large caliber weapons.

Trainings were held with the servicemen of different groups of Border Guard Troops on the tactics, professional trainings of border control subdivisions, public-state training, law training, etc. Besides the professional subjects, English and Russian basic communication trainings were held with the servicemen of the border control subdivisions.

The relevant employees of the Armenian Red Cross Society, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia and the International Organization for Migration in Armenia were also involved in the educational processes within the framework of the cooperation.

With the support of the International Organization for Migration, international experts were invited to exchange experience and held trainings on "Applied psychology", "Transborder organized crime", "Security of documents", "Professional ethics" and other topics.
