The protection of the state border is one of the main directions of activities of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia. Border guard outposts are being built in accordance with modern requirements with funds allocated by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The opening ceremony of the Kornidzor, Khndzoresk, and Hartashen border guard outposts was held at the N detachment of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.

The event was attended by Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia Andranik Simonyan, Deputy Directors Aram Hakobyan and David Sanamyan, Commander of the Border Guard Troops Colonel Garik Muradyan, and other officials.

Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia Andranik Simonyan greeted the Border Guard Troops servicemen and congratulated them on the opening of the new outposts, wishing them safe service in the interests of the Republic of Armenia.

The Director of the National Security Service toured the three newly constructed outposts, got acquainted  with the living and service conditions of the servicemen, their weapons, and the material and technical resources.

During his visit, Andranik Simonyan also got acquainted with the living conditions of officers in residential premises, which fully comply with modern standards and are equipped with all the necessary property and equipment for the families of officers to live at the outposts.

At the end of the visit, the Director of the National Security Service gave relevant instructions to the command of the Border Guard Troops.
